OSOK "Tattoo Merchandise and Apparel"

From Los Angeles to Japan, Edgar Hoill has traveled the world to bring back a gallery of photos that will cultivate, capture and forever imprint a new look on life, culture and Photography. His work has appeared in print media globally and his style is one that is both fresh and inspiring.

From behind the barrel of his trusty cameras, Mr. Hoill has adopted the moniker of “OSOK” One Shot One Kill. His movement is swift, his precision darting and a just like a marksman or sniper he always gets his target. By taking pictures of the world around him he shares not only a lifestyle but a forum of expression for the rest of the world to see. His work is provocative and daring but at the end of the day it’s the honest truth of a lifestyle, culture and way of life that only Edgar Hoill can capture in its truest essence.

With his travels he has captured and worked along side many icons in the Tattoo industry including Horiyoshi III and Freddy Negrete. He has also worked in many projects with the Good Time Charlie’s Tattoo Land crew and is currently working on a coffee table book that will captivate the world of Black and Grey tattoos trough his camera lens.

He also has become part of the Room 101 Silver crew, when he was taken under the wings of creator Matt Booth. His first showing in Australia is just a glimpse into the mind of an artist and his trusted camera. It will be much more than just a gallery; it will prove itself to be an experience that captures life in all of its grace as well as the beauty of life’s ugly reality.

Before your tattoo appointment. TIPS!

What should you do before your tattoo appointment? These tips might be useful...

1. Have at least 8 hours of sleep! Your body needs all the energy it can get and having sufficient sleep helps.

2. A good meal would be ideal prior to your appointment. Getting tattooed with an empty stomach is not advisable.

3. Avoid alcohol the night before and on the day itself. Alcohol thins your blood! If you bleed excessively, the ink won't stay in and you'll end up with a not so pretty tattoo!

4. Avoid getting sunburnt before you get inked. For starters it would be extremely painful and there's a 99.99 chance your artist will turn you away.

5. Be 100% sure that you want that particular design. You don't want to regret getting a tattoo.

Caring for you new tattoo.

Hooray! You just got inked and you love your new tattoo! At least we hope that you love that newest piece of body art. We hope as well your tattoo artist has shared with you the do's and don'ts. The next few weeks will decide if you have a tattoo that has healed properly or one that looks old even though it's brand spanking new.

1. If your artist has bandaged your tattoo, some use cling wrap these days, remove the bandage after 2 hours. Your tattoo needs to breathe!

2. Wash your tattoo with warm water and mild soap. Do not re-bandage the tattoo! You may however want to take precautions at night. Use old bed sheets and pillow cases. Your tattoo may ooze and you don't want that on your expensive silk sheets.

3. Apply cream to your tattoo. We recommend Healix Gold (click here). Ideally you should apply cream 3 to 4 times a day.

4. Never ever pick at the scabs. We know it's tempting but DON'T DO IT! When you pick or scratch, there is the potential that you'll tear away skin tissue and the underlying ink.

5. Stay out of the sun! Direct sunlight bleaches the colors in your tattoo. A good example would be to look at the tattoos of a lifeguard. If you do have to be in the sun for a long period, do use sunblock with an SPF of 30 or more. Ed Hardy has a product that's ideal for tattoos. Please click here to view our tattoo care products page.

6. Stay away from the swimming pool and sea.
